Description of Position:

To design, program and implement a robust and scalable web API application which will facilitate the regular collection of transactional data from licensed bitcoin entities to DFS as part of their licensing agreement

Daily Tasks to Include:

• Working with the JAVA development team to help design, develop and implement a web-based API application as described above.
• To participate in code reviews, Q/A, performance testing and security review of the designed application.
• Assisting with the creation of user and technical documentation.

Requested Qualifications:

• 7 years experience as a Java Web Developer.
• 5 years experience writing SOAP or REST Webservices.
• 3 years experience developing APIs using the OpenAPI Specification (formerly Swagger Specification).
• 1 year experience developing applications or portlets for a Liferay Portal.
• 1 year experience in designing, writing, consuming and documenting JSON based documents or specifications.
• 1 year experience in developing using Java ServerFaces (JSF) or Primefaces Frameworks.
• 1 year experience in writing SQL or PL/SQL in Oracle Database Environment.

• Utilize engineering technologies like JavaScript, C#, .Net, HTML/CSS, React, NPM, TypeScript, SQL, SSIS, and Git, and a variety of Azure platform tools, frameworks and services.
• Be a team player with a desire to work hard and collaborate with other team members.
• Work with Principal Engineers and Architects to ensure standards are adhered to in the solutions design process
• Exhibit self-motivation to proactively drive tasks to completion.
• Serve as a technology and design Subject Matter Expert for the team
• Hone your skills by working on creative internal applications
• Work in a collaborative environment, whether you’re working onsite or remotely

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience developing with .NET and C# (including experience with .NET Core)
• 5+ years in developing and integrating Restful web services using C#
• 5+ in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and knowledge in one or more JS libraries and frameworks (preferably React is highly desirable).
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud service platform solutions
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Experience in front-end and back-end software development (MVC, Web API, C#, SQL, Azure)
• Experience with Visual Studio/Visual Code
• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing and code tuning.
• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Experience working with Git version control in a collaborative team environment, creating pull requests and performing code reviews
• Experience with agile software development suite of tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
• Proficiency with relational databases including writing stored procedures and queries
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (Azure DevOps, Pipelines, Deployments)
• Experience implementing data integrations (ETL) using SQL Server Integration Services or Informatica
• Experience working with open-source software and libraries.
• Self-starter with aptitude for learning new technologies
• Experience working in a team environment
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus!

Daily Tasks to Include:

• Design, develop, and analyze transaction intense computer applications, taxation software, and specially configured utility programs for global taxation market.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle to include J2EE based applications using web server in the client/server and distributed environments.
• maintain and modify programs.
• Make approved changes by amending flow charts developing detailed programming logic and coding changes;
• Write source code, prepare test data, tests and debug programs.
• Revise and refine programs to improve performance of the application software.
• Perform execution of functional test plan, validate test results, prepare documentation and data for analysis.
• Responsible for a working knowledge of the Oracle database.
• Ensure accurate interface processes between various systems and system functioning.
• Consistently identify the causes of underlying operating errors, develop efficient solutions, and initiate preventative measures and safeguards.
• Review the overall system functioning to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science or similar related IT field required.
